Who You Talk To

You talk to an independent provider in our network. That is a local tree business with its own crew, equipment and prices. Tonsbroad Tree Service does not send anyone to your property. We connect you, then step back so you and the provider can make the plan.

What Happens on the Call

Expect a few simple questions. The provider will want to know:

• What kind of tree it is and roughly how tall
• Where it stands, and what is close by, such as the house, a fence or wires
• Whether it has already fallen, split or started to lean
• Whether anyone is hurt or any damage has been done

Have photos ready if you can. Take them from a safe distance. Do not stand under a damaged tree to get a better shot.

What to Ask a Provider

Check, then call back or book. These questions help:

• Can I see proof of license and insurance?
• What exactly does the quote include? Cutting, hauling, cleanup?
• Is stump grinding part of the price, or separate?
• How will you protect the roof, lawn and fences?
• Will you help document storm damage for an insurance claim?
• Is a permit needed for this tree?

Costs vary a lot by tree size, access and condition. Typical U.S. jobs can run from a few hundred dollars to several thousand. Get the price in writing before work begins.

You Are in Control

You can ask questions, compare more than one provider and say no. Do not feel pushed to sign on the spot. Be careful with anyone who asks for full payment up front, knocks on doors after a storm or will not put terms in writing. Asking for an estimate does not obligate you.
